Intensive Therapy

It has been our experience that short term, intensive therapy is just as effective, and many times more effective than weekly sessions for several months. An “intensive” will usually consist of two to four consecutive days of therapy, for four to six hours each day. You, you and your partner, or you and your family, would work intensely with Dr. Karlinsky or one of her associates, for the entire duration of treatment. Most people do not require regular sessions once their intensive is complete, and typically are seen on a monthly or bimonthly basis, as needed. This treatment approach allows your therapist to dive into YOUR unique experience and help you truly understand the emotions that drive your thinking, behavior, and the ways in which these emotions are playing out in your life now.
